John is cast in "TAKEN DOWN" (working title) a new police procedural drama for RTE Television which is being directed by David Caffrey (LoveHate). It is currently in production in Dublin until the end of August.

John plays 'Lorcan McDonagh' in Lance Daly's classic story of revenge "BLACK 47" which premiered at this year's Galway Film Fleadh.

In post-production is Robert Higgins and Paddy McGivney's new short film "ANGELS GUARD THEE" in which John plays the co-lead role of 'Martin', Kevin Barry's new feature drama "DARK LIES THE ISLAND" directed by Ian Fitzgibbon in which he is cast in a supporting role, and Lee Cronin's new feature film "THE HOLE IN THE GROUND" in which he plays a 'Detective'.

Other film and television credits include 'Detective Kelly' in Alfonso Films short film "SPENT" written by Emma Wall and directed by Claire Byrne, a role in RTE's television drama "ACCEPTABLE RISK" directed by Scottish director Kelly Glenaan, 'Garda Belton' in award winning director Frank Berry's new feature film "MICHAEL INSIDE",'Joe Malone' in TV3's drama "RED ROCK 2", the role of 'Garda O'Sullivan' in RTE Televisions hit series "CANíT COPE, WONíT COPE 1", 'Tony' in SKY Television's comedy series "MOONE BOY 3", 'Colin Doherty' in the BBC Television comedy series "VEXED 2", and roles in Grand Pictures feature film "The LEGEND OF LONGWOOD" directed by Lisa Mulcahy and RTE's "LOVE/HATE 3".

John's short films credits include 'Pat' in the IADT short "A DRY CHRISTMAS", 'Johnny' in Cathal Nally's "THE COUNTY" and 'Frank' in the London Film School Short "A GOOD FRIDAY".
